    Description

    Here's an original 1970's vintage pair of wood and metal matching lady's earrings that once belonged to famous Emmy and Tony Award nominated actress Tovah Feldshuh.
    The earrings measure approximately 1 and 1/2 inches long x 1/2-inch wide.   One earring is slightly longer than the other, which is how they came.
    The brown wooden earrings are in the shape of fisted hands and arms.   They represent the "fica" symbol which in some cultures is obscene but can also bring good luck.
    The wooden fists have tiny metal "marcasite-type" finger studs.
    Only one arm has a thin metal wristband.   We're not sure if the other arm ever had a metal wristband.
    Both earrings have fancy metal finial attachments with metal loops for attaching to a lady's ears.
    One earring has its ear attachment wire piece, and the other earring wire piece is MISSING.   The ear attachment wires can easily be replaced.
    One or two of the tiny finger studs are also MISSING.
    One of the fancy metal finials is loose and may come off.   It's complete and needs to be securely fitted (or perhaps glued) onto the wooden arm.
    BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE:   These earrings were acquired long ago at a charity auction.   They were given to Tovah Feldshuh by Brazilian author Jorge Amado during Tovah's trip to Brazil long ago.
    Jorge Amado wrote "Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands", which was made into the 1978 Broadway stage play "Sarava" starring Tovah Feldshuh.
